"Do not envy", a biblical truth. I ran to Jesus.

Lord can I ask you to help me with this reaction. Asking God to restore, renew, help me.

I find a worship song! Hallelujah Our King by Jordan Feliz.

My grateful cry for this song and the worship of Spirit and truth this song brings.

My commitment to the Lord is real. My walk Lord define.

Only God, only God can grab, change, open, restore.

My heart is His.

Focus on the here and now I hear in my head.

A verse, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Does that mean a trip, a high paying job, an adventure. I don't have that answer.

In Nehemiah 6 some mean were trying to distract Nehemiah by wanting to meet with him. They gave some story of why they should meet. Nehemiah being a leader knew what God had him doing at the time of this request and he felt inside that meeting with these men was not a good enough reason to take time out to stop doing what God had given him to do. (build the wall) Four times he told these men that and they persisted to try and get him to stop. Their motives were not genuine. It was tempting for Nehemiah to stop but he finally, directly said to the men, "Nothing like what you are saying is happening; you are just making it up out of your head."

These men were jealous trying to get Nehemiah off track. But Nehemiah prayed, "Now strengthen my hands."

Friends when we see a post that is a status and we react to it, we must go to the Lord and ask Him about it.

What are we doing with our time, talents?

Lord give me some assurance. As I looked up the word imagine the Nehemiah 6:8 popped up so I renewed my mind with this story. I originally was looking for the verse, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV

Let's go to prayer:

Lord forgive me for reacting, Lord thank you for helping me to hear from you. I use the word popped, it's just so many since covid. I know the increase of anxiety, depression, stress, burnt out, overload, and exhaustion. It's all real but I have to say, I myself in my twenties, thirties have been twisted up with the above.

The word therapy an approved service that clinics are have waitlists to get into. My mom born in 1938 lived in times where therapy was possibly a bad word. Life was so full of secrets and keeping hush about it the way of the world.

I am not writing this to debate the effectiveness of therapy. I have seen the greatness of both sides of therapy.

I am writing from my own personal journey where my life has been transformed by replacement therapy, a termed that I blurted out while chatting with friends about my experience.

replacement; the action or process of renewal.

I referring to my thought life. When I really began to THINK ABOUT WHAT I AM THINKING.

John 14:26 states, "But the Counselor (capital C) the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you."

I poured out my heart and asked God to help me with my anxious thoughts, panic attacks. I heard the whisper in my soul as I was sitting at the kitchen table. "You will be healed, you won't know how long it will take, but learn as much as you can along the way." So the time to heal began and with God I was determined to see it through.

EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-55794732631634225562024-02-26T15:41:00.005-06:002024-02-26T15:42:41.572-06:00SOMEONE SAVED MY LIFE TONIGHT
It's four o'clock in the morning damn it, listen to me good!

I really woke up at that time and heard this old Elton John song in my head.

I hadn't heart this song since my high school years. What the1

Then more lyrics perfectly from this song.

And someone saved my life tonight, sugar bear.

You almost had your hooks in my, didn't you dear, you nearly had me roped and tied

hypnotized sweet freedom whispered in my ears, your a butterfly and butterflies are free to fly, fly away, high away., bye-bye.

Chorus repeat.

Someone saved, someone saved my life to night (ooh whoo)

Someone saved

someone saved

someone saved

someone saved my life tonight. Tonight!

Lord does this have meaning from you to me?

It played strongly through the night. And in the morning I looked it up. Elton John's meaning was a commitment he was going to make to someone and realized he could not do that. He was saved from making a bad decision.

But for me. It meant evil tried to take me down another path at some point in my life, but Jesus won. He opened my eyes to the truth and my life charged down another path. This was my butterfly moment. I was a new creation in Christ. I realized my need for a Savior.

It almost had its hooks in me.

But now I fly away from that, high away, bye-bye. No more gripping me.

I thank God for his good news. His reason for being.

I thank Him for showing me this interpretation of this song over me.

It made me feel Free! SWEET FREEDOM WHISPERED IN MY EAR!
EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-66618170994959653272024-02-26T15:21:00.001-06:002024-02-26T15:21:24.440-06:00LET IT BE
The world...

Giving up...

lost dreams...

or what we thought were dreams...

the aura of art, creativity lost...

I left her with a prayer...asking God where did the aura of creativity go. "I had it before the kids were born, never got it back. Now I'm 80 and they are grown and gone. I don't know where it went, I never got it back", with sincerity my friend stated. This made me sad. As an artist myself I get the ups and downs of blocked creativity from writing and drawing.

Lord restore what stopped, bring it back. If it is your will have mercy., my prayer.

Friends, some of you may be experiencing what I'm talking about with my friend. A ceasing, a feeling of being cancelled. I know living in a season of cancel culture this is happening all around us.

But we don't have to except it when we are brought into awareness. Awareness is the beginning of prayer and then restoration. Her awareness is it was there and now it's not, an aura.

Grappling with reality of things myself, I got it what she was saying!

As I parted with her this song pops in my head, Let it Be!

Why that song I haven't heard it in years? Never heard it recently. I got in my car and searched Spotify for the Beatles song. Checking out the lyrics this spoke some truth for me and my Christian faith.

My truth

Let it be, Let it be, there will be an answer, Let it be. Let it be, let it be, whisper words of wisdom, let it be. When I find myself in trouble, Jesus comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me shinin' until tomorrow, let it be, I wake up to the sound of music, Jesus comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

This is my Christ view and truth...I will LET IT BE for now.

There will be an answer, LET IT BE.

EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-17311836861451695832024-02-07T11:46:00.003-06:002024-02-07T17:38:35.075-06:00GREENLIGHT
"I guess I have the "Greenlight", said in an upbeat positive tone!

Let me explain.

I was sitting in a coffee shop with a friend. Across from my table their was a young thirtysomething girl reading a book called GREENLIGHT by Matthew McConaughey. I had just recently looked him up on Wikipedia, so I was curious. I turned to the girl and asked hesitantly, "Excuse me, but I was wondering how you are liking that book?"

Looking up at me she replied very nicely and openly, "I just got it, but it is talking about his childhood and moving along in life he wrote this book using his diary and stories. Each story has situations where he got the greenlight to move forward." Honesty of the success and failures which are yellow or red lights that eventually turn to GREENLIGHTS.

Conversation took a turn to becoming deeper. I can't write it all it would be to long because I am sure the conversation was for a couple of hours. After giving her the reason for Jesus birth, death, resurrection-he sacrificial way He rescued us from death and brought us to life eternally.

Sharing continued explaining choose life or death. God has given us eternal life and this life is in the son, he who has the son has life, he who does not have the son does not have life. Simple. No working toiling toward forgiveness, because Jesus came to set us from from works and brought us into a new life by believing and receiving Jesus Christ.

We gave her a bible and she opened her heart to the understanding of what she had told her mom the week before meeting us, "Mom, I have been dreaming and thinking that we need to get back to our faith." Now she knows in a deeper sense of what Jesus was opening her heart to understand, we were the witness to confirm it, with a resounding, YES! YES! Choose life! Let the reading of the word wash over you and renew your mind, it is the instruction and food we need more than bread alone. We become new when we follow Him. With tears in her eyes we parted. She knew she had an encounter with the living Jesus who wanted to show her hope and love, I got to witness this eye opening experience. Her final words, "I guess I got the GREELIGHT!"

Go, go into the word.. Don't yellow, don't red, but green! Let the light guide you from this day forward. Let the Holy Spirit give you clarity. We prayed. It was so exciting to see my friend and my lunch prayer answered. Lunch prayer = Thank you for our food, bless this coffee shop and when people walk in they will sense the Spirit and desire the things of Jesus. Amen.

We gave her verses.

Psalm 139 which will confirm His direct attention God gives to those he created and wanted to be born. He just wants us to listen and see this truth.

Matthew 11:28 Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will show you real rest for your soul. Come walk with me, talk with me, learn from me for I am gentle and humble at heart. And you will find rest for your soul.

John 14:6 I am the way the truth and life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John the whole gospel.

Proverbs 2 seek the Lord like you would seek silver or gold (like a treasure) and then you will know the wisdom and understanding of God.

I am fully convinced God had her so ready to hear these truths and receive them.

Lord I pray for my new friend guide her protect, do not let the enemy have any way in her life or her families life. Guide her with your truth. Amen. ...

Friend open your heart to this truth and be set free from the tyranny of this world.
EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-16970058052842056552024-02-04T12:41:00.002-06:002024-02-04T12:41:14.149-06:00WAITING ROOM

Think of yourself in the waiting room and what do you do with your time?

I usually get me fingers going and taking in the blue light on my social
media. But what "if" us believers were more intentional on a grander
scale using our whole life, metaphorically, as being in the waiting room till
Jesus returns.-

so when a situation arises what do we do?

recently on Dec. 9 i got a mole checked and my Dr. was alarmed and said,
"I don't like the look of that!"

She gave me a name of a dermatologist. I called from the Dr. office and
the number was disconnected. I went to the nurse to inform her the Dr. she gave
me was not available. I prayed what will happen now I feel she scared me and I
needed to be seen quickly. She went to the Dr. and within an hour my primary
Dr. said she would shave biopsy it on Jan. 11. I had to wait. I prayed God not
sooner. Then within 24 hours I met others with a cancer diagnosis on their
skin, they quickly reassured me God is in control and if I needed to get in
soon that He would make it happen. It was not happening, so I calmed down and
said what do I do in the waiting.

I did exactly what I was trained to do in 1997 when I had panic and
anxiety attacks. The Lord back then had all my attention. I made a list of all
that's going on. Being very honest of every thought I have had in a day. Even
if I thought about a relationship, one of my prayer request from a friend. even
a concern of a child. Everything! That gets every real thing down and I'm
looking at it. Even my what "if's"

Like what if I don't get an answer of what this is that week? What if it
grows bigger and worse?

Next I remember the very important verses that warn me about this
"what if" kind of thoughts!

this true, is it a lie, where did the thought come from (me, God, evil one),
the true vs. lie test fits for all thoughts impulsive, loose, imagination. We

When she went out her hands were still slippery. The friend talked a couple of

unconsciousness. They rushed her to the hospital and did a scan on her brain

I called from the Dr. office and the number was disconnected. I went to the nurse to inform her the Dr. she gave me was not available. I prayed God not sooner. I really had waited, but I woke up that morning with this. My devotion for the exact day was;

I woke up to this glorious revelation! I'm having my procedure at 1250ish. My devo says the title "Praying for Healing". How great that this devo coincides with this procedure day and my circumstance. Coincidence? Oh no!! The reading on prayer is very insightful! What a mighty God we serve comes on my mind! I think of the children's song and quickly find it on you tube, filling my mind with this playful fun song.

Driving to the hospital that song is my only thing on my mind. A nurse walks me back to my room and I pass a big window with the sun shining through. I say what a beautiful day, what a blessing. He responds well to that so I say this brings up what I have been singing all morning and I sing the stanza, "What a might God we serve, what a mighty God we serve, angels go before Him, heaven and earth adore Him, what a mighty God we serve." He says yes. I say I try to focus on the important things looking upward, heavenly. He said, "I teach my kids that each morning to get up and do the same."

I say, "Can I ask are you a Christian?" He says, "Yes, can you tell?" I say I was wondering and guessing you would say yes, Next he says, "My wife and I love to tell her testimony. I tell it as much as I can for God." Here's the story:

His wife when she was 15 years old was working with butter all over hands in the kitchen, when a friend called her to the balcony outside to tell her something. When she went out her hands were still slippery. The friend talked a couple of balconies away and suddenly as his wife leaned forward she fell over down 3 stories. She crack her head, bled out from her nose and ear and fell into unconsciousness. They rushed her to the hospital and did a scan on her brain and found damage. The village were all praying for her. For some reason hours later they redid the scan and they miraculously saw no damage. She was completely healed. A miracle. Someone pointed out the spot where she fell is the place where they come together once a week to pray. He said from that day she would never doubt that Jesus is real.

I took a prayer request from another nurse. I just asked after she took such good care of me, "If you don't mind I would like to pray for you, what could I ask of the Lord?" She looked up surprised and was like as a matter of fact, "Yes! I am newly married and within the year we will be starting a family and buying a house and I would like it to be close to this hospital." I said "I would ask God to give her a sign and don't settle for just any house make a list." My surgeon came in and my husband I talked with her for about a 1/2 hour. She looked at my book and asked, "What are you reading." We got into a discussion and I found out she knew the Narnia books and C.S. Lewis. It was a delight because my surgery was delayed for 1/2 hour.

In Psalm 139 the Psalmist says, "<span face="system-ui, -apple-system, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Noto Sans", sans-serif, Arial" style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px;">You have searched me,<span face="system-ui, -apple-system, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Noto Sans", sans-serif, Arial" style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px;"> <span class="small-caps" face="system-ui, -apple-system, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Noto Sans", sans-serif, Arial" style="font-size: 16px; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-caps: small-caps; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal;">Lord<span face="system-ui, -apple-system, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Noto Sans", sans-serif, Arial" style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px;">, <span class="text Ps-139-1" face="system-ui, -apple-system, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Noto Sans", sans-serif, Arial" style="font-size: 16px; position: relative;">and you know me. <span face="system-ui, -apple-system, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Noto Sans", sans-serif, Arial" style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px;">You know when I sit and when I rise; <span class="text Ps-139-2" face="system-ui, -apple-system, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Noto Sans", sans-serif, Arial" style="font-size: 16px; position: relative;">you perceive my thoughts from afar. We know can have full access to Him through His death and resurrection. This new life is forgiveness of sin and life eternally with Christ. This new life can only be find in Jesus. It was a small gathering in her home during the Christmas season. Just a note...it is a perfect time of year to tell your coming to faith story.

She gave me a book with suggestions of how to put my story together.

I remember...

taking a speech class in high school that was distinctly very fun for me. It stood out enough that I thought I like doing this.

I remember...

being chosen to be Mary in the all school pageant when I was in third grade. It was such an honor. I could not believe it.

I remember...

creating skits in my backyard with my sisters and friends. I loved doing that. The creativity flowed.

I remember...

asking my mom to sign me up to be in a play through the local park district. When we got there for the first meeting, the play got cancelled. It took alot of courage to sign-up. So much so that I never tried it again.

When I said yes to the first "I remember" on this list, funny thing, I did not remember the I remembers of the past.

I just said "yes". I knew the importance of sharing my story from studying the bible and realizing how it can make a difference in other peoples lives.

Why am I telling you all this...

I am studying Exodus and the story of Moses. God prepared him to be able to be the leader to help free the Israelites.

Moses resisted and felt terribly unqualified, yet He did it! God truly was patient to lead Moses. His love is so big.

I went on to do a Christmas Gathering annually for fourteen years. They got bigger and it required much more planning each year, but I had help and support to keep me going.

Friends, I am telling you this story with tears in my eyes, hoping I would encourage others to just walk out what God is calling you to do.

I remember...

when someone in my childhood said, "She will always need help." I took that to mean I can't do anything on my own, don't even try. You will always be dependent on others.

I remember...

when someone said, "She is just so sensitive."

I remember...

when someone said, "She is not a leader, she is not organized."

These last four "remembers' were always used negatively for me trying or doing. Like going away to college or finishing my degree.

But when I met Jesus he was someone that I believed would lead me and with Him "I Can"!

You know I now say, "Thank you" to those someone's who said you're sensitive, disorganized, not a leader, helpless!

Those all were qualifications God used to give me courage to say "Yes" to serve Him.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. To me this means that I am sensitive in a good way. I recognize my weaknesses and accept them. I am willing to ask for help. I am willing to get help and delegate. Those that can not delegate or let go and let God miss out. Miss out on seeing God first hand. Just as Moses did. He witnessed the bush burning but it really did not disinagrate.

Paul went on to say, "When I am weak He is strong."

My weakness would make me qualified. God is like ok, your listening.

A youth leader in my town said to me after a prayer vigil we planned, "You are such a good leader." I was like like no I'm not, God is!

He did this prayer vigil in town, I just listened.

When God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Whatever the "it" is!

Friends...believe.

Just believe and walk. I was humbled by the voices that said I was weak, but God used that to give me strength to do things I can not even imagine.

I guess what I'm saying is we must pay attention to past and remember that God has been qualifying you all along. You are qualified to lead, even though you did not have leader training. All that we have to do is walk it out.

He who began a work in us will carry it on to completion. Phil. 1:6

Blessed are those who listen.

I am not a hero, I am a follower of Christ.

EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-69325107341067626782023-09-10T13:46:00.002-05:002024-02-02T11:12:59.453-06:00RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT
Good question!

Really good question!

Let me explain.

For me this question struck me and is continuing to work through my head to my heart.

It is my prayer to ask the Holy Spirit to examine me. Over the years people have scripted questions like What Would Jesus do?

This brought holy remorse to my heart. Have I been doing asking this too much? Don't get me wrong it's not a good question for some clear reasons but there needs to be balance.

I suppose you are looking back in this article wondering, "Did she state the question yet? If not, ask it already!"

Ok you asked, here it is:

Do you look for things that are wrong? Wrong with others in what they are doing or saying. Wrong in what things are going wrong in my life.? What feels wrong on my body?

It now begs the questions what do I see that is right? Right in others, right on my body and in things going on?

As I stated we have to improve, event planning needs the question what went wrong (so next time it can be better)? Debriefing is good, but when taken to an extreme, well, could that be a reason for the increase in depression and anxiety?

YES!

Then comes the call from the Apostle Paul wrote 2 Cor. 10:5 "<span face=""Google Sans", Roboto, arial, sans-serif" style="background-color: rgba(80, 151, 255, 0.18); color: #040c28; font-size: 20px;">We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

Critical spirit thoughts are included in this verse. Is that really what the label of =what is wrong?

Critical

maybe so if we are honest.

Let's pray about this:

Holy Father: I pray that I look for too much wrong. Critical. I repent of asking it too much. Help me to learn and see when this is operating in me. Help me to change and see things from the Spirit perspective. In Jesus name Amen.
EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-51385740875499844672023-07-13T15:27:00.005-05:002023-07-13T15:33:37.777-05:00CAR WINDOW POETRY
Poem #1

Think about what you are thinking!

If you do you'll be blinking!

And realize it's stinking thinking!

It's time to stop that stinking thinking!

Slowdown, sit down, quiet down!

Get down to the root!

Put your thoughts on mute!

You'll be glad, when you get rid of the sad!

You'll feel lighter and brighter!

Philippians 4:6-7

Poem #2

Stop move forward, toward the light

it can be bright...but

He is worth the fight!

Jesus way is right!

He is so bright!

John 8:12

Poem #3

Now with all your might set your sight on what is right.

The golden rule is so cool...

"Do to others as you would have them do to you." I never thought to check them.

Someone recently telling me that my name came up about lunch and the topic was stories of past prayer groups, prayer drive by, prayer vigils, Christmas gatherings...just warmed my heart to remember.

Realizing long friendships that have been a time of togetherness. Friendships where you are worshipping the Lord in your conversations.

Times of remembering and confirming the journey of marriage, speaking, acting classes...God's guiding hand.

Remember that God can bring me to it and through it. Just as the Israelites were asked to remember...we to must do just that.

Recently just meeting someone in the park and having a God conversation, honoring and sharing His faithfulness with a stranger, yet, new friend.

Let us hold fast to God my savior who build us and increases our faith.

He to for you can help you remember. Thank God I do!", the chorus in the song, Thank God I do.

It causes me to to reflect. At least that is what the song is doing to me. It's exposing my inner self, raw, vulnerable part and it resonates with me to yell out, "Yes, Lauren I agree! Thank God I Do!

Yes to all the times this blog has shared my God sightings. Walking and talking with the Lord is the best choice.

Yesterday I wrote, "Run for the Hills". I have been rereading a great allegory called, "Hinds Feet On High Places"

Much Afraid, the main character, walks a winding, ascending, descending, twisting, complicated road to get to a place on a mountain where she finally senses a confidence in the Good Shepherd, the lesson to be learned.

I remember reading the book for the first time. My insides identified with Much Afraid, the people, relatives, nature, everything she encountered on the journey. Beautiful! So beautiful! Hard, yes!, but so worth it.

Jesus is better than any food says King David (by the way I agree with David), better than any job I have (being a wife and mom is high up there! But I'm not talking about works that come by faith), better than talking with a therapist and venting. All of this is temporary. Lasting is Jesus. Reading a passage of His words really does accomplish. Accomplish, peace, calmness, rest, assurance. Remember God can be interrupted at any moment 24/7. They also said, "Run for your lives!'

If you are defending territory, it's usually better to be on high ground.

Trying to get people out of the path of the flood, which naturally followed the valley.

I have been known to state, "Go to the throne before the phone." But I also want to include, "Go to the throne before every bit of advice, social media, person."

I guess this day and age the phone includes contacting people, social media and pretty much any bit of information at your fingertip.

But I have heard we go for advice and the advice back is reading a book.

Friends, if we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, why can't we pray about parenting, marriage, relationship issues, grief etc. and find comfort from Jesus?

Advice is quick! It's like a band-aid. Quick-fix!

I can't say it from experience enough, getting to know Jesus, walk and talk and learn from gentle, humble Jesus is best. It takes time. Truly I say to you that I have learned it takes time clarifying. Clarity is scripture, experience and filtering the difference in voices. Good vs. bad. Did that voice come from truth or impulsive, imagination? All good questions when trying to clarify or get clarity.

Bless you friends!

Pray I am running to you Jesus. Help me to clarify! Amen.

Read Psalm 121!

EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-75587247346819434902023-03-01T09:08:00.002-06:002023-03-01T17:03:17.448-06:00WINDSHIELD WIPERS
The rain was pelting the windshield and the wipers were ferociously trying to keep up as I drove to school. As I set up my classroom the chaplain came in to pray for our day, he prayed, "God you got this day. I am reminded today as the rain was pelting down on my window yet the were keeping up so I can I liken that to you Lord. You are like the windshield wipers that helps me see in life. We need you Jesus so we can see and respond like you. Amen."

It comes to my mind everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial.

Meaning that when we learn things like boundaries, love languages, personalities, enneagrams, codependent no more, amygdala/brain processing patterns, social intelligence, being vulnerable/authentic is not all beneficial unless it is put against the word of God.

Sayings like speak your mind, follow your heart, stick up for yourself all have to be in context of the of what Jesus taught.

I am finding many of us who call ourselves Christians being more concerned about learning these things.

Recently I heard someone asking about teaching their children to obey them and wanting them to have relationship with friends. If a child is not taught from OT to NT what God said to pass down and teach while we walk and talk with our children they won't understand how to do these things.

They won't know the answer to the question are relationships important, how many, what constitutes a good friendship. I have seen us race to a book and what did she or he say about parenting or teaching our kids friendships. What about just starting with a prayer like God you gave me these children, guide me with your wisdom of how to parent them. What do you want me to read in the bible? How important are relationships with my children and other children. Stop, listen. Ask God to show you in scripture what to read to your children.

How about 1 Samuel 17- David's dad, Jesse, sends him to give food to his brothers. That gives evidence that if Jesse did not instruct David, David would not have gone to kill Goliath. Read on to see that David had built inside of himself experiences with God that gave him the courage to not listen to his rude brothers making fun of him instead He listened to God. If he let people get to him, he would not have killed Goliath. What are we directing our kids to build inside of them. Friendships with the world or Jesus? Folly creates folly. Same as underdeveloped minds talking to underdeveloped minds may not be very beneficial. They need you parents, they need know what Jesus opinions of them and that it matters. Show them how to find God's will for their lives. Read Psalm 139, Romans 12:1-3, Proverbs 3:5-7. Do word studies, where is the word children in the bible-Moses taught the Israelites what to say to their children. Leave markers of God sightings by writing stories in their diaries or journals. Have them pray about the will of God in obedience and friendships. Teach them to be present with the Lord. Impress the importance of what Jesus says if they do these things they will be directed which way to go.

There is so much to teach them from the bible.
EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-35427873823626355012022-12-13T10:39:00.001-06:002022-12-13T10:39:12.712-06:00FROM THE THRONE TO THE MANGER IN THE DIRT
Praise the Father, Praise the Son, Praise the Spirit three in one God of glory Majesty. Praise forever to the King of Kings.

Go now! Praise the Father!

The song KING OF KINGS plays in my head.

Take the thoughts in my head, the unsaved, the broken, the grieving, oppressed, hurting, lost...give them to God in song and praise.

The King of Kings have mercy on our souls.

My earlier heart cry:

Crowd out the fears of my mind today. Rejection, hurt, fear of loved ones being lost. It all hits home. Lord if I'm being honest, I'm scared. Help me! Amen.

I finally sit and listen.

Waiting!

Listening (finally)! The story of the hurting mom whose daughter went missing. The thought translates into my unanswered prayers. My fears well up within! I give into the thougthts!

Thank God I rehearsed this game before. The song (the rescuer, the redeeming son, the Holy one, sovereign one) sees fit to get my attention... Praise the Father, Praise the Son, Praise the Spirit three in one...I hear it...I stop...I resist it by keeping busy...but again I have experienced it before and realize where to run...as the song repeats itself I hear FIGHT! FIGHT IN THE SPIRIT!...not in the flesh with worry...what good does that do?...you know when you run to him you are always renewed...your thoughts go from the world despair and the possible bad outcomes to hope...TRUE HOPE..

HE OFFTERS PEACE ETERNALLY! H.O.P.E.

Mercy in his eyes.

Virgin birth

He leaves the throne to the cradle in the dirt!

Our Redeemer to rescue the whole creation.

For us, He suffered death!

Heaven held its breath until He conquered death!

Restoration.

By His word, blood, name I am free.

Are you free?

Prayer:

Father God I praise forever to the king of kings. Grab ahold of my thoughts and replace them with you truth. My truth filled life (the previous work of the Spirit within me) will awaken and listen now. Forgive me for giving in. In the moment I gave in. But now Father with your help please renew me. Restore me. I stand in awe of your majesty! Amen.

In your freedom, I am free!

Christmas. He felt. He cared. He was in the moment.

He already knew Lazarus would rise from the dead. He did not reflect on that in the moment. He stayed with those suffering and felt their sorrow.

This Jesus is with us all the time.

Each moment of pain, sorrow, discouragement, confusion, rejection, lack of understanding and pain, pause like Jesus, stay with it. Pray!

Let him work.

Stop thinking of what will happen, what is next, the argument to defend...

Ye Lord we greet you!

Love Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Stir me to the peace you can only promise. HELP LORD!
You are past one worry! Yah! Then it happens!

You feel the next one coming on, is this an addiction to drama?

Can you feel it?

Are you expecting there will be another? Maybe your mind is trained to just go on and begin to think of what's next. You don't even realize you are caught in this pattern of destruction, distraction, deception.

Friend, I am right there with you.

Let's talk to God about it today. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to stop this insane cycle.

Pray:

Lord I am aware that my mind wanders from one thing to the next and it is all in the name of worry!

Lord I want to break the cycle. Help me Lord...so that I can be truly FREE! Free from fears, worry, hatred, destruction, distractions, deceptions. Lord I am honest...it creeps in slowly, slyly. I sometimes don't even realize I am allowing it. Help me break this cycle! I want to captivate my thoughts in obedience to you. Thank you Lord. I want to hear from you. Amen.

Jesus:

Be free indeed. John 8:36

sin turns into death (not physical death but depression, anxiety) James 1:15

Do not worry. John 6:34

Captivate all types of thoughts in obedience to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

I take the worries.

Vengeance is His.

You draw near to Him; He draws near to you.

Fix your thoughts on Him and you will be in Perfect Peace.

Do not be anxious. Phil. 4:6-7 (don't forget to be thankful)

I suffered from the same temptations. Matthew 4:1-11

No temptation can over take you. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Friends when feeling like shame and guilt are setting in because of your admission, DO NOT LET.

Jesus said, "He was tempted in every way that we are being tempted." There is no shame in the realty of living this side of heaven.

Give yourself a break, talk to Jesus, let him handle the situation. You can't fix it in our own strength. Record now in your journal what verses come to mind about him fixing and helping you.

What comes to my mind right now is, "We can't imagine, it is immeasurable to know the help Jesus can give." Eph. 3:29 It actually says-abundantly, exceedingly, superabundantly, beyond what we can imagine.

Is He a genie? No! But when you agree that some pattern of thinking you have been doing is not what He would want, He steps in and allows the Holy Spirit to come in and transform and renew your mind.

It is the work of the Holy Spirit. Allow the transformation to happen.
EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374641131126307979.post-85258260855126644292022-09-21T15:25:00.024-05:002023-05-29T14:52:27.643-05:00STOP IT! Be able to know stating scripture that backs up these statements of truth. 1. Gods is who He says He is. 2. God can do what He says He can do. 3. I am who God says I am. 4. I can do all things through Christ. 5. God's word is alive and active in me.

These tools DO NOT earn us salvation-they are bringing us in tune of the will of the Father.

Hi Friend: Do you want more? This Psalm contains a word bank of characteristics of Jesus.

great, glorious majestic righteous, wonderful, memorable, gracious, compassionate, provider, covenant keeper, powerful, giver faithful, just, trustworthy, steadfast, upright, redeemer, holy, awesome and eternal. His character is being presented to you every day! Is He real to you? How do you see Him working? What verses help reveal this truth of who God is for you right now? Are you meditating on this scripture day and night? Is it a work in progress, are you waiting, is it finished and you have the answer? Realize sometimes you won't ever get the answer. That's okay! It still will be an opportunity to grow. They have come before a storm or during peace but they are in my head. I can choose to let them soothe my soul or ignore them.

But you know Jesus never gives up with the songs of love. If I am distracted or frustrated I can choose to stop and just focus, listen and they are there. At times something can come up and all of the sudden I pray and a new song will come. One day I even got a random text from a friend/saint with the song Never Alone. Sometimes the song just comes for just the purpose of being there.

I am never alone...so true. So true.

I give thanks for several years of this profound way Jesus has confirmed this promise to me from His word...

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. Like if someone asks, "What if I don't go, what if I make a mistake...?"

It could signify anxiety but there is an exception to this rule. If that is what you want to call it a rule.

When Queen Esther found herself and the Jewish people in trouble she was perplexed asking, "What can I do?" For it was said, "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"

I ask us all , "What if we were born for such a time as this?"

In the case of Esther and ourselves the question, "What if?" is a good one but you should know the answer is always, yes.

We are all created for such a time as this. Esther had a pretty significant calling to help her people, but we all have significance no matter what our calling.

Friends this is a short message today because its meant to remind us-

FOR SUCH A TIME IS THIS...you are here, you are alive, seek the Lord, listen and believe.

Pray:

Lord help me to understand my purpose and be confidant that I was born for now.
EJLUV2LUVhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12092219229052755296noreply@blogger.com0
