Dear Dad:
Here is a picture of what I am looking at as I talk with you today
1 Corinthians 3:7 "So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." NIVGod the creator is in control. He has the last word. We can only do so much. Think of the plants or animals we take care of by watering or feeding. We are helpers, but God is the master.
You stopped me today and said, I like to say, "GOD is my refuge, not he is my refuge, but God!" I stop and think that is so right, let us address Him properly. On our own we are lost.
Let's look at more verses:
Psalm 62:8 "Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge." NIV
Psalm 18:30 "As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him." NIV
Let's pray:
God you are my refuge, ever present. Will you strengthen me today, for I feel tired. God thank you for making me grow. Amen.
We open our hands and recite:
GOD IS MY REFUGE!
GOD MAKES THINGS GROW1
