I’m sitting here
laughing out loud because I pictured myself like a puzzle—every piece falling
apart, and I’m desperately trying to put myself back together.
And
then I thought, Wait a minute. Why would I doubt what God says? Why would I
agree with such a ridiculous thought?
If
I agree with the thought that I’m falling apart, it can begin to feel like my
real reality. Isn’t that just like the enemy—to plant a lie in my mind and
tempt e to agree with it until I start living as though it’s true?
God
created the earth. He created nature, every animal, and every human being. He
brought order out of nothing. And He says that He knit me together in my
mother’s womb. If He put me together, why would I think He can’t keep me
together?
Psalm
31:3 says:
>
“Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and
guide me.”
If
I am in His fortress, under His protection, then perhaps I’m not really falling
apart at all. Maybe what’s falling apart is my illusion that I have to hold
everything together myself.
I
don’t have to figure everything out. I don’t have to know the solution today.
God’s ways are higher than my ways, and His timing is perfect.
So
today, I’m giving Him every piece—the things I’m worried about, the things I
can’t control, and the things I don’t understand. I refuse to agree with the
lie that I’m falling apart. I choose to agree with what God says: He is holding
me together.
Thank
You, Jesus, for putting me together and for holding everything together. Help
me listen for Your voice so clearly that I don’t look to the left or the right
for my own solutions.
You
are my Rock. You are my Fortress. You are my solution.
I’m
not falling apart.
I’m
falling into Your hands.
Amen.
